Technical cooperation has been one of ILO's major means of action since the early 1950's. It is focused on four major areas corresponding to its strategic objectives: the promotion of fundamental rights at work; creating decent employment opportunities for men and women; enhancing social protection; and promoting social dialogue.
Since 1994, SEAPAT has been providing technical cooperation in various fields at all stages of economic development in five countries, namely: Fiji, Indonesia, Papua New Guinea, Philippines, and the Solomon Islands.
SEAPAT is presently responsible for the following technical cooperation activities, which are grouped by subject matter. Each activity provides information on the objectives pursued, partner organizations, the responsible SEAPAT staff member and the country where the respective activity is undertaken.
