Our activities

AbilityAsia represents the ILO's Disability Programme in Asia and the Pacific. The programme promotes basic human rights and training and employment opportunities for people with disabilities.

ILO actions include a variety of technical cooperation activities such as:

• designing and implementing projects (e.g., see Cambodia),
• providing training for constituents (e.g., see China), and
• sponsoring workshops, meetings conferences, and symposia (e.g., see the ILO/Japan Technical Consultation on Vocational Training and Employment of People with Disabilities).

The ILO also conducts research (e.g., see ILO Regional Research Project), identifies good practices and disseminates information (e.g., see ILO Videos and ILO Releases Moving Forward). Some of these activities are designed to serve all the countries in the region and others are country-specific.
